In
1947, ROSE REPETTO created her first
pair of ballet shoes in a tiny workshop in Paris. In
1956, at the request of Brigitte Bardot, Rose created
a ballerina for her to wear in a film. In the 70’s,
Serge Gainsbourg became the ambassador for the brand
after falling in love with the Zizi style. Since 2000,
the company has designed shoes for prestigious fashion
houses such as Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, and Comme
des Garcons. To this day, REPETTO remains the most sought after ballet shoe and can be seen on the chicest of feet all over the world. Bird has stocked Repetto for over 6 years and continues to carry one of the largest selections of styles in the U.S.
