Jenny Graham and Toni Spencer, designers and creators of velvet, long known for its t-shirts and dresses, have introduced a new luxury collection called "GRAHAM & SPENCER", which arrived in retail stores in fall 2006.

The focus is on new shapes as well as the contrast of texture. The materials include a soft, lightweight fleece contrasted with silk charmeuse, silk habotai, and featherweight laundered wool. The collection will include an array of dresses, skirts, tunics, leggings, jackets and coats. The palate is entirely and deliberately neutral: black, charcoal, ink and chocolate informed by touches of butter and snow.

Jenny Graham explains, "We've been feeling that there is a real void in the marketplace for this kind of look: something contemporary, luxurious, yet young and hip a the same time."

"Creatively it's a completely new and fresh direction," says Toni Spencer. "The response by retailers has been wonderful."
